About Kellie

Meet the Artist

Kellie has loved creating art ever since she could first hold a pencil. Growing up in Victoria, Australia, she spent a lot of her childhood drawing until she discovered her love of painting as a teenager. Her mediums have varied over the years and, though she loves them all, her favourite is watercolour.

Recently Kellie completed a Diploma in Visual Arts — something she has wanted to do for most of her life. She loved having the opportunity to create every day and be surrounded by such talented and inspiring artists. At the end of the course, Kellie had her first exhibition alongside her classmates. Her works featured sepia nudes in watercolours and inks and her first sculptures.

Her art practice sways between soft washes and bold contrasts to evoke both serenity and vibrancy. Through a balance of control and spontaneity, Kellie explores themes of spirituality and fantasy, using colour and light to create a sense of wonder and joy. Each work begins with an intuitive approach, allowing forms to emerge naturally before refining them into cohesive compositions. The process mirrors her artistic philosophy: embracing unpredictability while seeking harmony. Ultimately, her paintings aim to offer viewers a moment of reflection and uplift.
